The children's author David Walliams dropped by book publisher.
Prolific children's author and entertainer David Walliams has been dropped by his UK book publisher, according to an announcement.
An official for the company said: "After careful consideration, and following the appointment of its new CEO, HarperCollins UK has decided not to publish additional books by David Walliams."
Reports indicate that the move was reached following an inquiry regarding allegations of inappropriate behaviour directed at young women.
The publisher has not elaborated on the motivations for this action, stating: "We do not comment on private personnel issues."
A Highly Successful Writing Journey
Walliams is one of the UK's most best-selling authors for kids, boasting over more than 60 million copies globally in dozens of tongues.
His inaugural foray into kids' literature, *The Boy in the Dress*, was published by HarperCollins in 2008.
Some of his titles, including *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have also been adapted into television films.
His bibliography includes in excess of 40 works in total, encompassing a festive story named *Santa & Son*, which was published by HarperCollins this past October.
Television and Literature
He first rose to fame on the TV sketch series *Little Britain* and has also won National Television Awards for his work as a judge on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was awarded an OBE back in 2017 for his services to charity and the arts.
This development follows the naming of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's freshly installed boss in October.
