The Initial Xbox Game Pass Games of 2026 Show Xbox Remains Committed.

Everywhere you go, enthusiasts continue to ring the funeral bells for Microsoft's gaming division. Microsoft's console just got outsold by a relatively obscure console. Platform-specific outlets began covering on PS5 topics for the first time. Last year proved to be an era of significant turmoil for Xbox and Microsoft. Yet, based exclusively on the titles headed to the service in 2026, it's evident that Xbox remains determined to draw people in with quality releases on its key platform.

The Available Now Titles

A pair of titles you can play right now as you read this, Brews & Bastards and Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition, are not the headliners. The true anticipation is for the upcoming titles to Game Pass in the coming weeks that's truly noteworthy.

Upcoming Headline Games

Come mid-January, the platform will add the underrated Star Wars Outlaws, an open-world game that deviates from conventional open-world tropes with a space-faring criminal escapade. Another big get is Resident Evil Village featuring the towering Lady Dimitrescu, which our 2021 review called "an ideal blend of horror and action."

Intriguing Niche Additions

Yet, the less-hyped additions coming to Game Pass soon are quite compelling. Lost In Random: The Eternal Die, the criminally overlooked roguelike that is incredibly fun, becomes available next week — and it merits a playthrough even if you missed out on the first Lost in Random game.

The game set in a ruined Britain from last year might get its hooks in you in about 15 minutes flat.

Atomfall, a game blending infiltration and resource management by the makers of Sniper Elite, also warrants your attention. Ultimate tier members also have Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine – Master Crafted Edition to get excited about.

A Solid, Curated Lineup

All in all, these titles aren't industry-shaking releases to Game Pass, and they don't represent tentpole Microsoft studios games that are the sole reason for the service alone. However, this batch of games are rock solid. The lineup provides a solid mix of older titles you may have skipped and relatively recent releases that didn't get the attention they warranted upon launch — which makes them excellent choices to find a new audience on Game Pass.

Be prepared to part ways with The Grinch Christmas Adventures, as it happens.
