Formal charges have been brought against two men following a suitcase robbery where a suspected pepper spray resulted in harm at London's Heathrow Airport.

Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, now face two counts of robbery and two counts of deploying a toxic agent, authorities have stated.

These accusations come after an investigation into an attack at the parking structure at Terminal 3 on Sunday. Prior to the attack, two female travelers had their luggage stolen after exiting a parking garage elevator, according to law enforcement.

A toddler was one of the people hurt in the event. A total of five individuals required hospital care and were later discharged.

This event – which authorities stated was a standalone event and not being treated as terrorism – led to disruptions to rail services and the temporary blocking of the main airport road tunnel and the T3 parking area for a brief period.
